Jessyca Tierney-Smith was introduced as the new Coordinator of the Youth
Commission and shared information about her professional background and
experience. Coordinator Smith also expressed her interest in meeting with
Commissioners to gather ideas and learn from their experiences in preparation for
the upcoming year and term.
Farewell to Departing Youth Commission Seniors
Youth Commission members shared reflections and appreciation for their
experiences working together throughout the year, the first term for the Town of
Castle Rock Youth Commission.
Commissioner Agresti spoke about the powerful impact and value of the group’s
work, while Commissioner Hans expressed how meaningful it had been to work
with the senior community and noted the many lessons he had learned.
Secretary James wished everyone a happy Mother’s Day and shared appreciation
for the opportunity to work alongside the group.
Commissioner Turk reflected on her experiences with the Commission and
expressed excitement for the future of the group.
Vice Chair Reynolds acknowledged the valuable perspectives and experiences
each member contributed, and honorary Youth Commission member, Jake
Coover, recognized the growth demonstrated by all members throughout their
service.
Chairman George concluded by recognizing each Commissioner for their
individual contributions and dedication to the Commission.
Chairman George voted against the final motion, as he did not want to adjourn the
final Youth Commission meeting of the 2025-2026 school year, ending his
engagement with the Commission.
