April 3, 2024 Historic Preservation Board Meeting Minutes  
Moved by Boardmember Ashburn, seconded by Boardmember Borgelt, to Approve  
HPB Topic HPB 2024-014 as presented. The motion passed by a vote of: 4 to 0

TOWN COUNCIL UPDATE  
Mayor Pro Tem LaFleur presented updates on Town Council activities to the  
board, including discussions around a contract for the Crystal Valley Interchange,  
a poll that will be sent to Town residents surveying some upcoming ballot  
measures, and lastly Town Council was able to collaborate to close on the Lost  
Canyon Open Space acquisition.  
Chair Beystehner offered comments on the ballot measure survey. Mayor Pro  
Tem responded.

HPB 2024-015  
Historic Preservation Month Discussion  
Mr. Boland provided an update on all of the events and activities surrounding  
Historic Preservation Month including a website page, Town Council's upcoming  
proclamation, and poster advertising around Town. Events include a scavenger  
hunt, trolley rides, and a table at the Spring Kick-Off Concert.  
DESIGN REVIEW BOARD UPDATE  
None.

CASTLE ROCK HISTORICAL SOCIETY AND MUSEUM LIAISON UPDATE  
Mayor Pro Tem presented an update for the Museum, including an exhibit about  
the Continental Divide Race Track. Chair Beystehner mentioned a previous  
conversation on a potential big wheel race to honor the race track.  
ITEMS FROM STAFF / INFORMATIONAL ITEMS  
Mr. Boland directed the board back to the discussion on the meeting on July 3rd.  
The board commented that they would rather not have a July 3rd meeting unless  
there is a land use item.
