Executive Summary
Staff would like to update the Commission regarding the following items:
Gary Godfrey Photographs
In late 2021, Councilmember Cavey suggested honoring local businessman and Castle Rock proponent Gary Godfrey with a memorial bench and the purchase of one or two of his photographs to feature in Town Hall as Godfrey passed away that December. Per this direction, town staff purchased two photographs, which are now installed at Town Hall. The framed photography will now be a part of the Town’s permanent public art collection. Public art funds were not used for the purchase or framing.
Public Art Conservation
Pacific Coast Conservation commenced work to restore and clean public art pieces throughout town. Their work will continue throughout 2022-2023 to complete a large majority of the collection.
Winter Schedule
With the year coming to close, staff would like to confirm the general schedule with members and also see if there is any interest in doing a holiday social in early December or to start the new year.
