Executive Summary
Members of Town leadership have expressed interest in purchasing a watercolor painting called Castle Rock Fire Department by artist Cindy Welch. The painting features Castle Rock’s very own fire station in downtown Castle Rock, along with a vintage truck. The original painting is 27 inches by 21 inches and would become part of the Town’s permanent public art collection upon purchase. The purchase, however, would not be funded through the Public Art Fund. The artist, Cindy Welch, has provided an invoice of $2,700. Proposed Motion
“I move to approve that the Town of Castle Rock purchase Cindy Welch’s painting called Castle Rock Fire Department, pending that the purchase comes from funding outside of the Public Art Fund account.”
