Executive Summary
Each year, the Town conducts an annual recruitment process in April-May to fill upcoming and current vacancies. The Town received 65 total applications during this year’s recruiting period, and interviews were held during a Special Town Council meeting on May 10, paneled by the current Chair or designee, staff liaison and Council liaison. The panel has made the following recommendations for appointments to be ratified by Town Council during the meeting on May 17, 2022.
For the Design Review Board vacancy there was a non-consensus in the recommendations: The Board Chair is recommending to reappoint Garo Chalian, and the Council Liaison is recommending to appoint Randy Reed. The final determination of the appointment is to be decided by Council.
At a Council Meeting in June, additional recommendations for the Design Review Board appointments will be presented, based upon the appointments that are ratified on May 17. The Board of Building Appeals and the Public Works Commission each retained a vacancy following recruitment, and will continue to solicit for volunteers.
