Executive Summary
The Board of Adjustment retained a vacancy following the annual recruitment period in May 2021. The vacancy was advertised and applicant David Miles was invited to interview with the Board Chair and staff liaison on August 26, 2021. The interview panel believes the applicant will be a good fit and unanimously recommends David Miles to fill the vacancy on the Board of Adjustment, for a partial term ending May 31, 2022.
The Board of Adjustment is responsible for hearing and deciding on requests for variances from the strict enforcement of the Town's zoning and sign codes, including requests for accommodations for persons with disabilities. Additionally, the board is responsible for hearing appeals of any decision or determination made by an administrative official. Decisions of the Board of Adjustment are final, subject to judicial review.
