SUMMARY

 

The application is from DSCR LLC dba Dos Santos located at 20 N Wilcox street, #118A to obtain New Hotel & Restaurant License. 

 

The members of DSCR LLC of the Dos Santos are:

                     Jason Wallenta

                     Kristopher Wallenta

 

The operating manager that will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business is:

                     Jacinda Gallegos

 

                     The application for the New Hotel & Restaurant license was submitted to the Town Clerk’s Office on May 4, 2021.

                     Applicant and manager submitted fingerprints that were forwarded to CBI for clearance show no history affecting the issuance of a liquor license.

                     The application was submitted to the State for their approval on June 18, 2021.

                     In accordance with State law, the property was posted with a Public Hearing Notice on July 30, 2021; and a Public Hearing Notice was published in the Douglas County Newspress on July 29, 2021.

                     Town Staff has reviewed all documents required to apply for a license, and has found them to be complete and in compliance with State Statute, Liquor Regulations and Town Code.

                     Petitions reflecting the needs and desires of the neighborhood that includes adult inhabitants and businesses within a one-mile radius of the premise have been submitted, and 97% of those questioned favor issuance of the license.

                     The applicant will continue to work with the Town to ensure compliance with Town Code and requirements to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.

                     A Stocking permit may be obtained after State and Town approval and a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy is issued to allow the operating manager to order liquor and stock the premise.

                     If Town and State approval is obtained, the liquor license will be issued upon the receipt of a Certificate of Occupancy. 

 

RECOMMEDATION

 

Staff recommends approval of the application for a New Hotel & Restaurant License.
