Discussion/Direction: Draft 2021 Community Survey

Executive Summary
As previously discussed with Council (Attachment A), staff has been working with third-party vendor ComEngage (formerly Northwest Research Group) to prepare to administer the Town’s 2021 community survey. Staff on January 13 provided Council with links to the draft resident and business surveys for 2021. Those links are shared here again to provide for transparency:

These are not the live links that will be used to administer the study but rather draft links for review and feedback purposes. Those reviewing the drafts will need to enter a value for each question in order to advance each survey forward and review the full drafts. Document versions are also attached to this memo (Attachments B and C) for those preferring to view the drafts in that format.
The purpose of this item is for Council to review the draft surveys and discuss any desired adjustments ahead of staff and the consultant moving forward to administer the surveys starting next month. The planned project schedule is as follows:
Feb. 9-March 12: Scientific surveys administered
March 15-26: Open resident survey available
Online community: Feb. 9-April 9, unless extended
April 6: Discuss survey results with Council
TBD: Discuss online community insights with Council

“I move to direct staff to proceed with the 2021 community survey as discussed.
