Executive Summary

Community Relations has been working with Dorsey Pictures to create four videos, per the terms of the Town’s 2019 economic incentive agreement with the firm. The first two videos have been completed, and the remaining two are in progress. All four videos are intended to be evergreen.

The first two completed videos are historical and highlight the people who have made an impact on Castle Rock. One video is a biography of Philip S. Miller and highlights his contributions to the community. The second video provides stories of the local history through the names of Downtown streets. Both completed videos can be found on Town history web page at CRgov.com/TownHistory. The videos will also soon be shared on the Town social media channels. Additionally, we will provide the Castle Rock Museum and the Castle Rock library with access to the videos to share with the community through their channels.

The remaining two videos Dorsey Pictures is working on should be ready for the initial review within the next month. They recently shot the last round of footage for the video highlighting some of the Town’s open spaces. They have interviews scheduled in the first part of October for the fourth video, about The Star. The Star history and overview video is expected to be finalized prior to Starlighting.
