Body
________________________________________________________________________________
Executive Summary
As stewards of public art in Castle Rock, the Public Art Commission is responsible for ensuring the legacy of its art collection.
Goal 6 of the Public Art Plan is to, “Take care of the public art collection by developing a maintenance and conservation policy,” and can be reviewed through Attachment A.
The action steps identified within the plan to accomplish this goal include creating a maintenance and conservation policy, creating a master inventory, conducting an art condition assessment, developing a 5-to-10-year maintenance plan and submitting the condition assessment report and plan to Town Council if appropriate.
As directed in August, Jen Perry and staff composed a draft RFP for a condition assessment report and maintenance plan, as well as project schedule, which can be referenced in Attachment B.
Staff recommend that the Commission provide feedback on the draft and schedule and discuss next steps.
