Resolution Declaring a Disaster by the Town Council and the Town Manager

Executive Summary
The Resolution provides the authority for the Town of Castle Rock Town Council and Town Manager to declare a disaster, pursuant to various portions of the Colorado Revised Statutes. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, a state of emergency has been declared at both the federal and state levels. This Resolution will enable the Town to mobilize Town efforts to maintain public health, welfare, and safety via the Town‘s Emergency Operations Plan, adopted in May of 2019. This declaration will also enable the adoption of Special Procedures for Town Council Meetings to ensure that Council may continue to conduct business during the pandemic. Town staff recommends adoption of this Resolution Declaring a Disaster.
