Executive Summary

Sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience for people with special needs ages 14 and older. Hosted in partnership with the Town of Castle Rock’s Adaptive Recreation Program, Castle Oaks Covenant Church and Wellspring Community, the event will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Events Center.

Every guest of Night to Shine will enter this complimentary prom night on a red carpet, complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a catered dinner, a respite room for parents and caretakers and dancing.

The mission of the Tim Tebow Foundation is to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need; their sponsorship amount was $6,500.

On Feb. 7, Night to Shine will celebrate its sixth anniversary. Last year’s annual event featured 655 churches and communities from around the world who came together to host Night to Shine for approximately 100,000 honored guests through the support of 200,000 volunteers. Castle Rock Parks and Recreation is pleased to be able to provide this event to local families and participants.
