Executive Summary
Staff would like to update the Commission regarding the following items.
Castle Rock Artist Cooperative
The Castle Rock Artist Cooperative (CRAC) is hosting a holiday party on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6-8 p.m. at the Riverwalk South building. The party will feature beverages, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes and a membership drive.
CRAC and the Downtown Development Authority Board have both approved a mockup for the tree stump carving at Festival Park, Attachment A. Carver Billy LaFleur is planning to complete the work this month.
Front Range Executive Directors of Local Art Agencies Fourth Quarter Meeting
Staff attended the fourth quarter meeting of the Front Range Executive Directors of Local Art Agencies on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Boulder Crowd Collective. Presentations were provided on master planning processes by Jim McDonald, Director of Cultural Services for the City of Fort Collins, and Deana Miller, the Cultural Arts and Events Supervisor of the Town of Superior. While Superior’s plan is still underway, the FoCo Creates: Arts & Culture Master Plan has been provided for reference in Attachment B.
