Executive Summary
Staff is seeking to determine Council interest and direction on developing a sister city relationship with a community in another country.
At the direction of Council, staff would prepare a report to provide information on developing an officially recognized sister city relationship with a community in another country. The purpose of a sister city relationship is to create a sense of international community by cultivating a positive partnership through educational, cultural, business, and municipal exchanges.
Proposed Motion
“I move to direct staff to provide information on sister cities at the next Council meeting.”
