Executive Summary
The purpose of this memorandum is to provide the Castle Rock Water Commission with an update on the 2019 Rates and Fees Study, and the resulting proposed rates and fees for 2020. The attached staff report was presented to Town Council on August 20, 2019. The annual study is critical to ensure the utility fully reevaluates the cost of service and updates financial plans to ensure revenue requirements going into the future are based on the best available current information.
The Rates and Fees Ordinance is scheduled to go to council on Sept. 3, 2019 for first reading, and Sept. 17, 2019 for second reading.
Proposed Motion
“I move to recommend to Town Council approval of the 2020 Rates and Fees, as presented.”
