Executive Summary
Per the Charter, the Election Commission shall elect a Chair, and Election Commission Regulations further state a Vice Chair will be elected. Both are elected by majority vote of the Commission at the first meeting held each year. Terms for officers will be one year.
In the absence of a Chair or Vice Chair, the senior member of the Commission will serve as Chair Pro Tem to call for nominations.
Nominations will first be accepted for Chair. Nominated names will be placed on the ballots and distributed to Commissioners to place their vote. The ballots will then be returned to the Clerk to tally the votes and then will announce the new Chair. The process will be repeated for the Vice Chair.
