Executive Summary
Staff would like to update the Commission regarding the following items.
Art Frame
As directed, staff have brought a thank you card for Commission members to sign to thank the school, teacher and students who volunteered their efforts to beautify the Art Frame. Staff plan to soon issue a Facebook post, also thanking involved participants and recognizing the project.
Thought of a Treble Clef
A plaque for Thought of a Treble Clef has arrived and will soon be installed by Park Operations and Maintenance staff to identify the Town’s newly purchased art piece for visitors at Philip S. Miller Park.
Castle Rock Museum Painting and Print
In July, the Commission motioned to approve the purchase of a frame and mat for the print of the watercolor painting of the Castle Rock Museum. This commissioned painting was donated to the Castle Rock Museum through a Public Art Commission and Historic Preservation Board partnership in May. The Commission will continue to discuss the purchase of the frame and mat at its August meeting.
