Executive Summary
This year’s annual Artfest event will be held on Sept. 7 and 8 in Downtown Castle Rock.
After discussion, the Commission decided it would be worthwhile to participate to increase public awareness of art in the Castle Rock community and of the Public Art Commission and its website. Several suggestions were made to this effect: purchase a banner to install on a table or easy tent, provide handouts and/or QR code, bring an art frame or provide some type of art for people to interact with, etc. Attached is another idea for a banner or interactive element provided via Commissioner Susan Paulsen.
The Commission plans to continue this discussion at its June meeting.
