Appointments to Town Boards and Commissions

Executive Summary
Interviews with residents who applied to serve on Town Boards and Commissions were held during the Special Council Meeting on May 14, 2019, and the recommended appointments were ratified on
May 21.
The Board of Building Appeals retained two vacancies following the interviews on May 14, and elected to conduct additional interviews on May 22 with applicants who were unable to interview on May 14 due to scheduling conflicts. The Board of Building Appeals recommends the following appointments to fill the vacancies:
• Richard Morton
• Dave Perry
The Board of Adjustment accepted the resignation of a member who was appointed to the Public Works Commission, and recommends the following appointment to fill this vacancy:
• Richard Coffey (partial term ending May 31, 2020)
The Public Art Commission also retained one vacancy, but candidates were no longer available so staff will continue to solicit applications. Additional recommendations for the Design Review Board appointments will be presented at the July 2, 2019 Council Meeting, after the Planning Commission and Historic Preservation Board have held their first meetings with new members and voted for those representatives.
For clarification to the appointments previously ratified on May 21, 2019, the following were appointed to fill partial term vacancies:
Public Works Commission - Maricela Shukie (partial term ending May 31, 2020)
Election Commission - Sherry Viani (partial term ending May 31, 2021)
