Executive Summary
Staff would like to update the Commission regarding the following items.
Thought of a Treble Clef
A check will soon be issued and mailed to artist John Banks for the purchase of Thought of a Treble Clef. Staff has requested that John provide maintenance instructions upon receiving the payment.
Press Release for Castle Rock Museum Painting
A press release was issued on Thursday, May 2 to announce the joint Public Art Commission and Historic Preservation Board project to commission artwork for the Castle Rock Museum (Attachment A). The painting will be unveiled on Saturday, May 18 in conjunction with the opening of a new exhibit.
Future Agenda Items
Future agenda items could include assessing Castle Rock’s existing art inventory with the intent of researching a future maintenance and conservation plan, as well as cataloging programs such as Art Archive or Cartegraph; and, planning for art placement in Downtown Castle Rock.
