Executive Summary
Mayor Jason Gray will read the Proclamation to proclaim April 19, 2019 as Arbor Day.
The Town of Castle Rock is one of more than 3,400 communities who have made the commitment to being a Tree City USA Community, and has made this commitment for over thirty years. These towns and cities work with the Arbor Day Foundation to demonstrate they meet the standards of sound urban forestry management. Accordingly, each year, the Parks and Recreation Department plants trees in parks, open spaces and throughout the community and organizes plantings to celebrate the benefits of community trees and the work accomplished to plant and maintain them.
