Executive Summary
The Public Works Department has been making significant strides in advancing the efficiency, and effectiveness of their Asset Management System. This System is the comprehensive elements of the Department which go into operating and maintaining the physical transportation infrastructure assets they are charged with overseeing. The development of quantified levels of service in all asset classes, combined with the succinct reporting on the state of these transportation assets within the newly developed Transportation Infrastructure Report Card, have greatly improved transparency to our transportation stakeholders. The Department’s 2018 Transportation Infrastructure Report Card, located on the Town’s website, received a 2018 award from the Colorado Section of the American Public Works Association for excellence in Public Outreach, Medium Sized City category.
Dave Bennetts, CO APWA Board member, will be presenting this award to the Mayor and Town Council during the Council meeting on February 5, 2019.
