Executive Summary
Staff would like to update the Commission regarding the following items.
New Council Liaisons
Town Council members serve as liaisons on Town Boards and Commissions, as well as other organizations. At the Dec. 18 Town Council meeting, it was decided that all members of Council will rotate as liaisons to the Commission in 2019.
Art Archive
Staff was contacted by a representative from Art Archive, a web-based platform designed to help artists, collectors and organizations easily manage inventories. Art Archive could provide a sleeker front-end presentation of Castle Rock’s public art inventory, track the history of pieces overtime and assist with the scheduling and tracking of repair and maintenance. If the Commission is interested in learning more, staff will schedule a demonstration for a future meeting.
Douglas County Art Encounters 2019-2020 Call for Entries
Kimberly Smith of Douglas County notified staff that posting the call for entries for the Douglas County Art Encounters has been delayed. Smith is working to post the call as soon as possible. Please reference the attached email for further details.
Future agenda items
At this point in the meeting, Commissioners will advise staff of the items they would like to see on future agendas.
