Executive Summary
The Public Works Commission has recently accepted the resignation of a commission member, leaving a vacancy on the commission. In May 2018, during the annual recruitment process, interviews were conducted by Town Councilmembers, Public Works Commission Chair Kira James, and Assistant Public Works Director Dan Sailer. The interview panel interviewed 9 applicants and ranked 6 of them as potential Commission members. Of those, 3 applicants were recommended to Town Council for appointment to the Public Works Commission and began their terms in June 2018. Commissioner Joe Whitehead has resigned effective September 25, 2018.
The Public Works Commission is recommending the appointment of Butch Stinton to fill this vacancy, for a partial term ending May 31, 2019. The interview panel believes that Mr. Stinton’s background and experience would make him a valuable member of the Public Works Commission.
