Title
Resolution Approving the First Amendment to Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Castle Rock Annexation and Development Agreement [located at 550 Wolfensberger Road East]
Body
______________________________________________________________________
Executive Summary
Epiphany Evangelical Lutheran Church of Castle Rock (“Church”), located at 550 East Wolfensberger Road, is requesting an amendment to the development agreement to extend the timeline for removal of the modular buildings on the property. The existing development agreement requires the modular to be removed upon the completion of Phase 2 or by December 31, 2018, whichever occurs first. The Church is requesting an extension to December 31, 2021.
Discussion
The modular buildings are the main activity site for the Orphan Grain Train (OGT) ministry collection center. The ministry receives, sorts, packages, and ships donations of clothing, shoes, school supplies, and other items to areas around the world impacted by poverty and disaster.
The Church is requesting a three year (3 year) extension so that they can retain the current modular buildings on the campus until December 31, 2021. This will allow the Church adequate time to design and develop a new addition that can replace the modular facility.
Budget Impact
None
