Executive Summary
To increase awareness and encourage further action for water conservation, during the month of July, Castle Rock Water is promoting easy steps for water efficiency indoors and out. A calendar with daily tips will be provided to residents. Those that wish to participate in the promotion can log onto the CRconserve.com website weekly and complete a form identifying which tips the resident has completed. At the end of each week (July 6, 13, 20, and 27), these entries will be included in a drawing where multiple winners will be chosen randomly for prizes. Prizes include Town activities, such as trampoline and golf simulator time at the Miller Activity Complex (MAC), as well as a new smart irrigation timer! In all, 36 prizes will be awarded.
For every entry, Castle Rock Water will ‘fill’ the Rock with water savings. For ease, we have equated each step with 1,000 gallons of annual savings and with 1,577 actions, we can fill our namesake with saved water! Visit CRconserve.com for more information.
This event was initially tied to the Mayor’s Challenge to pledge to conserve in April. It was expanded and moved to July when customers have water usage and conservation more readily on their minds.
