Based on direction from the May 30, 2018 Election Commission meeting, attached is the revised 2018 Election District map for your consideration.
To assist the Election Commission, also attached is a Map Book that zooms in to each district to show further detail, as well as a Comparison that overlays the boundaries from the 2015 districts over the newly proposed 2018 districts.
To formalize the approval of the 2018 Election District Map, the 2018 Redistricting Plan is attached that details the requirements, process and outcome of the redistricting resulting in the new 2018 Election District boundaries.
GIS staff will be in attendance and will be available to make any further adjustments if needed; and will have printouts of the attached maps for your convenience.
Motion
If the Election Commission has no further changes and wishes to accept the 2018 Election District map, an appropriate motion would be:
“I move to approve the 2018 Election District Map and 2018 Redistricting Plan as presented”.
-OR-
If changes are made at the meeting the Election Commission wishes to approve the map with those changes, the appropriate motion would be:
“I move to approve the 2018 Election District Map and 2018 Redistricting Plan with the following changes….”.
