Executive Summary
Ordinance No. 2018-001 was approved on first ready February 6, 2018 by a vote of 6-0. Minor edits where made to the Ordinance between first and second reading.
This Ordinance calls a Special Municipal Election to be held May 15, 2018 for the purpose of presenting to the electors proposed amendments to the Town of Castle Rock Home Rule Charter as provided in the companion Ordinance No. 2018-002.
The Special Municipal Election will be conducted in accordance with the Charter and Chapter 2.01 of the Castle Rock Municipal Code. The Ordinance authorizes Town administrative staff to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Douglas County for certain election-related services and assistance. A copy of the draft IGA is attached.

Staff recommends approval of the Ordinance as presented on second reading.
