Executive Summary
I am very pleased to recommend for Town Council ratification, the appointment of Lisa Anderson as Town Clerk. Lisa has 18 years of experience in municipal government and municipal clerk work, including service as Deputy Town Clerk from 2013 to present. Her previous work includes Executive Assistant in Castle Rock, and Assistant City Clerk in Aurora including service as Acting City Clerk there. Lisa has performed very well as Acting Town Clerk for Castle Rock since mid-May of this year.
The Town received over 80 applications for the position, including many well qualified candidates. Interviews were conducted with three very well qualified candidates on September 15, involving panels of Town employees and two Town Councilmembers (Loban and Teal). Everyone’s work in implementing a focused, successful recruitment process is appreciated.
We are confident that Lisa will be an outstanding Town Clerk and continue with her excellent service to the Town and community.
Per Town Code, a Resolution confirming this appointment is placed under the Consent Calendar for Town Council approval.
