Executive Summary

 

The purpose and intent of this report is to provide Town Council with a summary of quasi-judicial projects.  In order to provide all parties with due process under law, decision makers must be fair and impartial when considering quasi-judicial applications such as those attached to this memorandum (Attachment A).

 

Many of the attached projects do not have public hearing dates yet, but Town Council could be asked to consider them in the future.  The Town’s In Your Backyard map provides information on staff-reviewed applications and applications already approved by Town Council.  Those applications can be found at:  CRgov.com/ <http://www.crgov.com/inyourbackyard>developmentactivity.

 

New Applications

 

Calvary Chapel Castle Rock Zoning SZ16-0001

The applicant, Calvary Chapel Castle Rock, LLC has submitted a request to zone a 5.5 acre parcel, located at the Northwest corner of 5th Street and Woodlands Blvd, to “B” Business/Commercial.  This straight zoning application is being processed concurrently with an annexation request to bring the property into Town limits.

 

Calvary Chapel Castle Rock Site Development Plan SDP16-0031

Calvary Chapel Castle Rock, LLC, has submitted an application for a 22,506 square foot church that will seat 758 people.  The property is located at the Northwest corner of 5th St and Woodlands Blvd.  Parking is proposed to be met by 277 spaces located on the site.  The application has not proposed any school or daycare use at this facility as proposed.  This SDP is being concurrently processed with SZ16-0001 (zoning) and an annexation request.
