Executive Summary
Frank Gray, Executive Director, and Marcus Notheisen, Vice President, of the Castle Rock Economic Development Council, will be present seeking Council direction regarding restriction for liquor sales in commercial and industrial zoning and the impact on businesses and existing property rights.
Staff Recommendation
Staff is requesting direction from Town Council if they would like staff to investigate this further and to draft an ordinance removing the distance restriction in commercial and industrial zoned areas.
Proposed Motion
“I move to direct staff to
1) provide Council with additional information and possible ordinance regarding distance restrictions for liquor sales in commercial and industrial zoning.”
OR
2) decline to authorize additional staff work on this topic”
