Executive Summary
Per the Town of Castle Rock Municipal Code 3.02.060, “Purchases over $75,000.00 require formal written sealed bids unless waived by the Town Council on the basis of sole source, emergency or unresponsive bidders.”

Staff will be presenting a Town Code amendment to Town Council in the future to adjust the $75,000.00 threshold amount to match the $250,000 amount for Town Manager approval similar to existing Town Code requirement providing for Town Manager approval for expenditures up to $250,000.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approving sole source purchase requests for 1) valve maintenance trailer (Castle Rock Water) and 2) breathing air compressor system (Fire Department).
