Council Consideration for Request for Reimbursement of Councilmember Donahue’s Recall Expenses

Executive Summary
Pursuant to Section 2.35.040 of Ordinance No. 2016-026 (Attachment A), Councilmember Donahue has submitted a request for reimbursement of certain expenses related to the Recall proceedings against him.
The Ordinance indicates that reimbursement of these expenses, or any portion thereof, shall be authorized by Resolution. Staff has prepared two draft Resolutions.
Should Council vote to approve a reimbursement, or any portion thereof, the amount to be reimbursed will be added to the Resolution approving the reimbursement.
Should Council vote to deny the reimbursement, an alternate Resolution has been prepared to reflect this action.
Both Resolutions are separate Items on the agenda following this item.
