Ordinance: Approving an Easement Agreement between the Town of Castle Rock and Qwest Corporation d/b/a CenturyLink QC (Second Reading) [Part of North Meadows Extension East of I-25)

Executive Summary
The Ordinance was approved on first reading January 5, 2016 by a vote of 7-0.
The Town acquired irrevocable possession of certain property from PC East, LLC as part of the North Meadows Extension Project (“Project’). The Project required the relocation of certain communication facilities owned and operated by Qwest Corporation d/b/a CenturyLink QC (“CenturyLink”). Town has compensated CenturyLink for its costs associated with the relocation and has determined that it is necessary and appropriate to grant CenturyLink the necessary easements in order to continue to operate and maintain its facilities as relocated.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the Ordinance, granting the necessary easements to CenturyLink for its continued use and maintenance of its facilities.
