An Executive Session was held at the conclusion of the October 6, 2026 regular Town Council meeting. The purpose of the Executive Session was as follows:
1) discussing the purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of real, personal, or other property interests pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(a), specifically regarding (a) the potential acquisition of property by the Town associated with the proposed Chateau Valley residential development generally located between East Plum Creek Parkway and South Street, and (b) the potential acquisition by the Town of a vacant parcel of land generally located west of 1st Street and Wilcox Street; and
2) determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations, developing a strategy for negotiations, and instructing the negotiators regarding the possible use by private parties of Town-owned property at the Dawson Trails development in southwest Castle Rock, all pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-6-402(4)(e).
If anyone believes that any substantial discussion of any matters not included in the motion to go into the Executive Session occurred during the Executive Session, or that any improper action occurred during the Executive Session in violation of the Open Meetings Law, I would ask that you state your concerns for the record.
