Update: Town Staff not proceeding with the proposed ball field complex at Cobblestone Ranch / Received Petition in Opposition to Proposal

Executive Summary
Colorado Classic Baseball is withdrawing the proposal for the ballfield complex at Cobblestone Ranch Park, and the substantial public opposition directed a Town staff position to not support the project. As such, the proposal consideration has stopped and no further action is planned on the proposal. During the Open House event on February 8, staff received a Petition to Stop the Cobblestone Ranch Sports Park and Complex (Attachment A), which has several hundred signatures. Council and Town staff has also received emails and other communication from the community, which has been generally opposed to this proposal. No further Council action is required on this item.
The first phase of the planned park improvements at Cobblestone- which were not impacted by the CCB proposal - is still under construction with a forecasted summer opening of the park.
