Executive Summary
Following the annual Town Boards and Commission recruitment in April-May 2026, the Youth Commission retained one vacancy. Advertising and recruitment efforts continued, and two additional applicants were interviewed on June 17, 2026. The Commission is unanimously recommending the appointment of Rhian Dore for a partial term ending May 31, 2026.
The Castle Rock Youth Commission provides high school students in grades 9 to 12 an opportunity to engage with and learn about local government, participate in decision making, and represent the needs of the community's youth. Regular meetings for the Commission are held on the second Monday of each month, excluding June, July and August, except on Town holidays or Douglas County School District school closures. All regular meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St., unless otherwise designated, and are open to the public.
