Update:  Administrative Easement Abandonments and Right-of-Way Vacations [Easement Abandonments and Right-of-Way Vacations]

Executive Summary

 

This update is being provided to Town Council to summarize the easement abandonments and right-of-way vacations processed administratively by Town staff during the previous quarter.  Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2013-06 adopted on February 19, 2013 and Ordinance No. 2015-06 adopted on February 17, 2015, utility easement abandonments and unimproved street right-of-way vacations may be approved by Town staff in conjunction with subdivision approval.  These abandonments and vacations are typically approved on the face of plats such as the ones listed in this memorandum. 

 

Staff will update this report when new abandonments and right-of-way vacations are approved, as Town Council requested.

 

New Easement Abandonments

 

The following easements were abandoned by the subdivision plats listed below, which were recorded during the last quarter.

 

Terrain Filing No. 1 Plat - utility and drainage easements

Promenade at Castle Rock Filing No. 1, Amendment No. 7 - slope and drainage easements

Village North Amendment No. 15 - utility, drainage and turning radius easements

The Meadows Filing No. 18 Final Plat, 12th Amendment Plat - utility and drainage easements

Promenade at Castle Rock Filing No. 1, Amendment No. 6 - utility and access easements

Craig and Gould’s Addition to Castle Rock, Amendment No. 18 - slope easement

 

New Right-of-Way Vacation

 

The following right-of-way was vacated by the subdivision plat listed below, which was recorded during the last quarter.

 

Promenade at Castle Rock Filing No. 1, Amendment No. 6 - a portion of Factory Shops Boulevard
