Executive Summary
Based on recommendation from the Historic Preservation Board, the following appointment to the Town’s Design Review Board (DRB) is recommended:
Historic Preservation Board Representative (term to September 1, 2016) Monica Crum
(Attachment A).
Discussion
Some of the proposed duties of the Design Review Board related to downtown are:
Ø Review of all development applications that require a site plan;
Ø Review and approval of crown (top of a building) design and height;
Ø Grant variance requests to Municipal Code, Chapter 17.51, relating to setbacks, landscaping requirements, fence height, design standards, and other relevant items;
Ø Grant extra floor height for historic preservation efforts by the developer;
Ø Assist in other duties as needed to help the Town move forward on its visions and goals for downtown.
Proposed Motion
I move to accept Monica Crum for appointment to the Town’s Design Review Board.
