Discussion
The Youth Commission will discuss participating in the Adopt-A-Child event. Annually, the Town of Castle Rock Municipal Court hosts an incredible opportunity to give back, titled Adopt-A-Child. With the aim of helping families in need of additional assistance during the holidays, a person or group can choose to “adopt” a kid or multiple, if so desired. After receiving the wish-list of an “adopted” child, the person or group then goes out and spends around $75-$100 to buy holiday gifts for their assigned child.
Recommendation
Chair Turk will propose the Castle Rock Youth Commission participates in the 2026 Adopt-A-Child program, and “adopts” ten children.
