Executive Summary
The Town of Castle Rock has a seat on the Douglas County Housing Partnership Board. The Board’s mission is to achieve economically thriving communities by preserving, providing, and developing housing choices in Douglas County, Colorado. The Board’s Vision is to create and sustain communities through innovative partnerships and entrepreneurial approaches to housing. The Board considers financial investments and policies to encourage this diverse mix of housing development in Douglas County.
Discussion
The Town of Castle Rock’s current appointment to the Douglas County Housing Partnership Board of Directors is Ms. Julie Kirkpatrick, Planner II in Development Services. Based on current staff workload, we would like to recommend a change in the Town of Castle Rock’s appointment.
Development Services would like to recommend that Ms. Heather Lamboy, Long Range Project Manager, serve as the Town of Castle Rock’s primary appointment to the Douglas County Housing Partnership Board. Ms. Lamboy’s work on the Town’s long range plan is a strong fit to this role.
We would also like to recommend the continued involvement of Ms. Julie Kirkpatrick, Planner II in Development Services, as the Alternate to the Board. Ms. Kirkpatrick has served as the Board Appointee since the start of 2015 and has the knowledge to represent the Town of Castle Rock if
Ms. Lamboy is unable to attend a meeting.
Proposed Motion
I move to appoint Ms. Heather Lamboy, Long Range Project Manager, as the Town of Castle Rock’s primary representative to the Douglas County Housing Partnership Board. And, I recommend the appointment of Ms. Julie Kirkpatrick, Planner II, as the Town of Castle Rock’s alternate to the Douglas County Housing Partnership Board.
