Executive Summary
Per standard procedure, the Parks and Recreation Commission will appoint its Chair and Vice Chair for the upcoming year. Pursuant to Town policy, each board and commission shall appoint a Chair and Vice Chair from among its members by majority vote for a one-year term. These positions are elected annually at the Commission's first meeting in June.
The Chair is responsible for presiding over meetings, facilitating the business of the agenda, and serving as the primary representative of the Commission. The Chair may sign correspondence on behalf of the Commission and may call special meetings or cancel regular meetings as appropriate. The Vice Chair will assume the duties and authority of the Chair in the Chair's absence.
