Executive Summary

The Parks, Open Space and Trails Partners Volunteer Program provides opportunities for individuals, families, schools, businesses and community organizations to support and improve Castle Rock’s parks, open spaces and trails. Volunteer activities include trail maintenance, park cleanups, Eagle Scout projects, the Colorado Bluebird Project and community events such as Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Trails Day and National Public Lands Day.

POST Partners Volunteer Program Coordinator Marcy Jones will provide an overview of the program and highlight volunteer accomplishments through September 2026. During that period, POST Partners coordinated 204 volunteer events with 2,834 volunteer participations and more than 7,000 hours of service. Volunteers also supported 228 miles of trail maintenance and removed more than 16,000 pounds of trash from Town parks, open spaces and trails.
