Executive Summary
The Public Art Commission will review and discuss its ongoing goals and objectives to ensure alignment with current priorities, upcoming work, and the long-term direction of the Commission. As part of this discussion, the Commission will consider the following items and initiatives:
• Art Encounters program coordination, including confirmation of sculpture locations for the upcoming exhibition cycle
• 2026 Art Enhancement Project, including direction and confirmation of potential improvements to the Dancing Moon IV at Rhyolite Regional Park
• 2026 public art calls, including review and discussion of upcoming opportunities such as the Traffic Signal Box Design and Wolfensberger Street Mural projects
• Ongoing planning efforts related to the Crystal Valley Interchange (Burt/CVI) area, including confirmation of next steps and project timing
• Community engagement and outreach, including development and distribution of a public survey to gather input on future art priorities and initiatives for public art planning
