Cantril School Grounds Master Planning Update

Executive Summary
The Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation Department recently issued a request for proposals seeking professional landscape architecture, design, planning and public engagement services to develop a master plan and schematic design for the Cantril School grounds.
The planning process will consider phased exterior improvements, including outdoor gathering and event spaces, landscaping, accessibility, parking, drainage, an art-inspired playground and opportunities to showcase public art and sculpture. The Commission’s adopted Public Art Strategic Plan previously identified the Cantril School grounds as a potential arts destination, including the possibility of developing a sculpture garden.
Following consultant selection, the Public Art Commission will be invited to provide input on public art opportunities and the overall grounds plan as concepts are developed and community feedback is gathered.
