Discussion
Cara Reed will be joining the Youth Commission meeting on December 8 to discuss opportunities for collaboration on the Rising Star Scholarship feature that will appear in the January 2026 HOA Outreach newsletter.
During her visit, Cara will:
• Introduce her role as the Town’s Neighborhood Liaison and provide an overview of how Development Services engages with Castle Rock residents through neighborhood communication channels.
• Discuss the January HOA Outreach article, which will highlight the Rising Star Scholarship, a youth-led initiative recognizing high school seniors who have made a positive impact in the Castle Rock community.
• Invite Youth Commissioners to participate in shaping the content for the article, such as providing quotes, perspectives or short blurbs about the importance of community service and youth leadership.
• Coordinate next steps with interested Commissioners to collaborate on the piece following the meeting, finalizing contributions in December for publication in January.
This will help strengthen the connection between the Youth Commission and Development Services, while also promoting the Town’s scholarship program to residents across Castle Rock.
