Executive Summary
The ordinance vacates a portion of the public alley that provides public access to Lots 3A, 9A, 10A, and 11A, Town of Castle Rock, 3rd Amendment and Lot 2A, Town of Castle Rock, 28th Amendment. The vacation is necessary for the development of the Riverwalk project, which will be constructed over the vacated area. In the event the project does not move forward, the vacation will only take effect if the aforementioned lots are platted into a single lot. The Town has reserved an easement over the vacated area until such time as any existing utilities have been relocated by the developer.
Staff Recommendation
Staff recommends approval of the Ordinance as presented.
