Executive Summary
The purpose and intent of this report is to provide Town Council with a summary of quasi-judicial projects. In order to provide all parties with due process under law, decision makers must be fair and impartial when considering quasi-judicial applications such as those attached to this memorandum (Attachment A).
Many of the attached projects do not have public hearing dates yet, but Town Council could be asked to consider them in the future. The Town’s In Your Backyard map provides information on staff-reviewed applications and applications already approved by Town Council. Those applications can be found at: CRgov.com/DevelopmentActivity <http://www.crgov.com/inyourbackyard>.
New Applications
Lower East Plum Creek Annexation and Zoning- The annexation request proposes the inclusion of 59.931 acres of land between the railroad and US highway 85, north of the North Meadows extension. The land would be owned and used by the Town of Castle Rock for parks, recreation, open space, and a utility diversion structure. This structure would help towards the Town’s goal of 75% renewable water. The construction schedule is still to be determined. Public hearings are scheduled for Planning Commission on December 10th and Town Council on December 15th, 2015.
